Paintball is a non-lethal game that provides an exciting and immersive experience without causing serious harm. Players tag opponents with capsules containing non-toxic water-soluble dye and a gelatin outer shell, expelled from a special airgun called a “marker” at high speeds. The resulting splatter marks indicate a hit and the elimination of that player from the game. The game is often structured with a variety of objectives and scenarios to enhance the fun and challenge.
Players wear protective clothing and face masks. Most players also wear a hat (to protect the forehead from direct hits) or bandana. It is important to have clear communication with teammates and maintain situational awareness to ensure the safety of all participants.
Before the game begins, a safety briefing will be given. Our marshals will then guide players to the game zone and explain the rules of the game mode.
Once the game is started, players can expect to play for anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on the game mode and number of players. Between games, players will typically take a break to re-check their equipment and get more paintballs. During this time, they will share stories of their victories and the humorous agonies of defeat with other players.
The most popular game modes include capture the flag, team deathmatch and scenario games with specific objectives. Players may also compete in tournaments with brackets based on skill divisions. These tournaments are played on Speedball (paintball) fields and usually feature 5 person teams with a range of skills.
